Happy Wednesday

My new spectrum noir pens have just arrived and I only ordered them yesterday! So can't wait to have a play with them, but first....

My card for today is an 8 x 8 and is using my first Saturated Canary image.  Krista is so talented!
Anyway, again I used a nestie for the image and coloured with Copics.  The background papers I printed on the pc.  The rosette was made with a tim holtz die and the sentiment is a LOTV stamp.
The buttons are from my stash and I coloured the twine with my copics to match the image.
I have another digi image from SC ...prob the first of many as I love them, so am off to play with my new pens.  I hope you all have a lovely crafty wednesday!!

A MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE IN BLOGLAND X X X

Hi Everyone,

It's been a few months since I was here.  I have missed seeing all your wonderful creations, but family commitments have unfortunately kept me away.  Anyway, I hope that in the new year I will have more time to spend on here.

I also have a new grandaughter....Grace Mia, born on 7th November, weighing 6lb 1/2 oz. She is adorable!!

I haven't stopped crafting, haven't bought any christmas cards this year.....I made them all myself!!..which is something of an achievement in itself!  And now that christmas is upon us, I have made a start on my January birthday cards!

This card is for my grandaughter.....I used a digital image from Tiddlyinks, 'warm wishes'. I have been trying to improve my colouring skills and have found some great tutorials from the 'Colour me copic Club' on youtube.
It's an 8inch square card, oval nesties for the image,  and I decorated the mats with a martha stewart corner punch. The image coloured with copics, and added some sparkle to the little muff, collar and boot tops.
The little flowers were made using tonic punches and decorated with some gems from my stash.

I hope you all have a Wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Hi Everyone...it's been a while!!

Hi all,

Well it's been ages since I've had the time to play catch up on here.  We've been redecorating virtually the whole house, and it's been manic for weeks.  But, almost done!!!  I can't believe how much we accumulate over time...but I've been ruthless, and feel better for it!
I suffer from chronic asthma, and also was out  of action for over a week because of it, but am feeling much better now and hopefully am back in the saddle...lol

There's not been a great deal of time for crafting, although I have taken some time out to do what has been necessary.

Hopefully now I can spend more time doing what I love...playing in my craft room!!! :o)

This card I have made for my youngest  daughters birthday next week.  I used the sugar nellie digital image 'sybil'.  I love these images.  The mats I cut out on my cricut.  Image coloured using copics.  Flowers from WOC, and a martha stewart punch for the ribbon band.  Am also putting up a pic of another two memory boxes I've  finished for my middle daughter, and the pink box for my eldest grandaughter...so as you see I still have made time for some crafting!!!.
Weather is sunny here this morning, so happy crafting everyone!!

The papers used for the above box are the DCWV Mariposa collection.

Hi everyone

Morning everyone!

More apologies for not getting on here for the last few weeks.  More visitors and redecorating the house has kept me pretty tied up for the past few weeks...will prob be a while before I can get around and visit you all even just to say hi.
I have also had several orders for the 'memory boxes' which I hope to begin again by the weekend.
I hope you are all enjoying the 'summer'...(tongue in cheek)...but they do say we are set to have another mini heatwave next week sometime...don't blink or you'll miss it!!!...lol
Anyway, just a quick visit to say hello again and hopefully things will be back to normal in the next couple of weeks.....but we all know what it's like when decorating.....one job leads to 100...lol.

Happy crafting everyone

Once again I must apologise for not being able to visit all your blogs over the past couple of weeks.  Had so much going on that there just hasn't been the time.  When the weather is good I like to get out and about as I'm sure you all do.  Anyway, hope to spend a couple of hours later visiting all your blogs and once again playing 'catchup'!

Just so you know that I have been crafting!!!...I have made several more memory boxes, as it seems everyone in my family wants one!, so I guess that's my work cut out for the next couple of weeks.....lol.  Hope you are all enjoying the nice weather.
I will post a pic of the first four boxes I've made, altho they are not all fully completed yet, and hope to see all your lovely creations later today.

Keepsake box

Good Morning Peeps

Hi everyone...well haven't been on here for a couple of weeks, as I've had a lot of family things going on.  I will be visiting all your blogs throughout the day to catch up with everything everyone has been doing.
I have just completed this keepsake box.  It's made out of medium weight chipboard, which has then been covered with various papers.  Most of them are from the DCWV collection. The feet, and corners and the little knob are from the Tim Hotlz alterations.  The turquoise flowers I made myself, but the rest are from WOC. The pearls and butterflies I already had in my craft stash.
This is another idea from Laura Dennison, at http://www.followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com/ . I think it makes a lovely gift and can be used as a jewelry box, or just to keep memorabilia in.  I am making a small album to match, which fits inside.   Hope you like it.

Good morning all,..and what a gorgeous day it is!...The last couple of days have been lovely and I've spent a lot of time in the garden..enjoying it while it lasts!

Haven't put any cards together as yet, but have been practising my colouring techniques. Have lots of images ready to go onto cards as I need them.  And I have also  been crocheting baby clothes for the forthcoming new arrival!!

I have another project in mind, which isn't a card, but will prob take me a few days to complete, so may have something up on the blog then.  Just wanted to say hello to all, and hope you are all enjoying the weather and your crafting. Hope to get around all your blogs later in the day, but for now it's back to the sunshine!!

Another memory album

Hi again peeps,

Well it promises to be the hottest day of the year so far today!!  Have to break out the sun cream!

I have made another memory album, this time for my daughter in law's birthday today...(happy birthday Holly!!)
It's made in the same style as the last one, using Kay & Co papers 'poppy seed'.  I love these papers.  Each page is made using 2 x 12inch papers, which when cut and folded, form the pockets.  Then I have made photo mats to go inside the big pockets, and then tags for journalling added to each page. The embellishments on the front of the album are also by K & Co, and coordinate with the papers.  I have kept this one simple so Holly can add her own photos and any other memorabilia she wishes to keep in it. These type of albums make great gift ideas, and you can resize them smaller if you wish.  The idea comes from laura dennison over at http://www.followingthepapertrail.com/, so pop over to her blog and look at some of her wonderful creations.
Have a crafty day all!!

Princess Tilda

Good Morning Peeps!

Well the sun is shining at the moment, so fingers crossed we may get a nice day!

Larger than normal card as it is an 8 x8 scalloped card from craft uk. I have made this card for my daughter in laws birthday.
As usual, I coloured Tilda with copics. Have used ultra fine glitter on her dress, tiara and shoes.  The background papers are from a MCS cd and I used a martha steward patp for one of the mats.  The large rose I made with the background papers and a paper punch and edged with crysal stickles.  The other flowers are from WOC.  The sentiment ribbon tag is a spellbinders die. The ribbons and pearls are from my stash.

Hope you all have a lovely day...happy crafting!!

Catch up

Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd pop on a quick post as I've had a couple of busy weeks and haven't had any time to get on here.  Plus had a few pc probs, which I'm glad to say I've finally sorted out. My sister went back home, but I really enjoyed having her here for two weeks.

My son and his family, are, as I type flying across the atlantic to take up his new post in Florida....so he'll escape the rain that is battering down right at the minute...after such a lovely sunny day.

I had to put my crafting on hold, as it was a busy couple of weeks, but now I can hopefully catch up with all your lovely blogs, and also get down to some more crafting!

Take care

Family mini album

Hi everyone,
Hope you have all had a great week.
Been a busy one here for me, so not had a lot of time for cards.  My sister is staying and also, my youngest son Scott and his family are moving back to America next week, so we are having a 'bon voyage' party for them tonight.
My first post on here when I started blogging was a family mini album I made.  I decided too finish this album as a small memento for my son, and have filled it with lots of different pics of our family.
Had to make a box for it too, so thought I would show the finished thing, as I have been working on it on and off all week.
I got the idea for the album from a very talented lady, Laura Dennison at http://www.followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com/.
I used mostly tim holtz papers for the inside pages and the cover, and the box was made and covered in 'garden party'  DCWV papers. Each page has at least two tags for journaling, which are concealed in the page pockets.  Not too many embellishments on the inside but a couple of butterflies using sizzix dies and the cover using a couple of different dies, and the word family was done on the cricut machine..  The rosettes on the box made using tim holtz die. Added some ribbons and fibres to the book rings and some little charms to finish it off.
Hope you like it.

I thought it makes a nice keepsake for them. What do you think?

Update

Hi again peeps.

Just an update to the previous post.  It seems that you have to enable cookies in order to comment on posts where there isn't a seperate box for comments.  Have only just discovered this and am now able to leave comments where there is no seperate 'comments' box.

Just thought I'd let you know in case anyone else is having the same issue.  Just enable cookies and you should be ok.

Having major problems with blogger

Hi everyone,

I had computer problems over the weekend and had to reformat my system.  Since then I am unable to make any comments on anyones cards.  It keeps telling me I'm not signed in when I am.  (I must be to be able to write this!!!!)

Does anyone know what it might be?

Dear Donna (my happy place),
I was so sorry to hear about your brother.  I did write you a message but it wouldn't allow me to log in to post it.  Just so you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. (could you let me have your email address as I lost them all in the reformat). x x

Will do my best to get this sorted but not sure what I can do about it.

Sweet Tilda

Hi Peeps,

Have had a busy few days, reorganising....(not a good idea!!..lol), anyway, took a break today and decided to try this sweet little stamp.
I have used Prima fairy flora papers as well as some glitter card from Kars. Coloured sweet tilda with copics, and then glittered her wings and parts of her dress, although they are not showing up too well in the pic. I used my nesties for the mats, and of course some WOC flowers. The ribbon is sitting on a punched flower, and although it looks a litte orange in the pic, it is the same pink as her wings. Pearls are from my stash, and the greeting was done on the pc.

Another hanglar stamp, from the 'attitude' set.

Hi Peeps,
Hope every one is enjoying their weekend. Busy one again for me, as I usually have family over, but did get time to play with my latest stamp.
I wanted this card to be more 'chunky' than delicate, to go with the 'attitude' image. Coloured with copics, and used an embossing folder for the dark brown mat and a martha stewart corner punch. Then sprayed with 'spray 'n shine. Faux stitching to match the grograin ribbon. The background paper is paermania, and I used the stems of the flowers on the design to add flowers from K&Co. The buttons from my stash.
Hope you all have a 'craftily' good weekend.

Tilda with hawaii flower

Hi everyone

Firstly, a big thankyou to Cathy (crazy crafter), for the blog candy that arrived in the post yesterday. Love it!!

Also received some new stamps in the post. Have been waiting for this stamp for weeks, and it finally arrived yeserday!

I have coloured her with copics, and used my nesties and glitter card for the mats. And another spellbinder die for the border.  The papers are from ‘me to you’. Flowers from WOC, which I have added some sparkle too.  Also added sparkle to tilda’s dress, shoes and hair flower, although not showing up that well on the picture. The ribbons and pearls are from my stash.

Decided to change the background on my blog to something a little lighter!...lol

Hope you all have a lovely day.
