Well it's been a few days since I posted on here as I've been spring cleaning!!..now all that's left to do is the craft room which will  prob take me longer than the whole house has....lol.....I have that much crafty stuff to sort through...but hey ho....it has to be done!!

My card today is an image I coloured recently from Aurora Wings  I love these images as they are so challenging with all the detail but are so beautiful too.

The backing papers are from a parchment pad I have had for a long time. The image I cut out using a spellbinders die. The doilies I had in my stash and I just distressed the edges with some rangers inks.  The  butterflies are made with a martha stewart punch. I made the roses from spirals I cut out from red paper and added a pearl to the centre. The leaves are silk ones I picked up in hobby craft.  A little bit of extra bling and some vintage lace finishes the card.

I hope you like it. Though I would enter this one into the April challenge on the Aurora Wings Facebook page.

My card today is another beautiful image from Aurora Wings and she is Ballerina Fairy. I love all Mitzi's images and really enjoy colouring them up. This image I won in one of Mitzi's Facebook competitions.  If you haven't seen her work I highly recommend you go take a look as she has beautiful artwork which makes colouring a pleasure.

I have coloured her using copics.

I've added red and black textured card for backing the image and distressed the edges. I used a nestie die for the greeting. The ribbon and pearls are from my stash and the flowers are from WOC.

Hi again,

Today I have two images to post although not yet put them onto cards as haven't been too well for the past week.

I decided to try some brayering techniques and on both have used Lavinia Stamps. If you haven't already seen them go check them out as she does some beautiful fairy and fantasy stamps.

The images are created by building up the colour using a variety of different coloured ink pads to create sky, hills and backgrounds on which to place the stamps.  Have really enjoyed playing around with them and hope you like them.

Well it's a beautiful day here today...lots of sunshine and lovely and warm...got all the windows open and the patio doors!!....keep it coming!

I haven't made a card today, but have just finished another image from Aurora Wings.

This time it is Red Poppies.  I love this one, and `I have coloured her in Copic markers.

I cut her out using a spellbinders die and do intend to add her to another project but haven't as yet.

Like to get my colouring done during the day when the light is better than evening time. Then I can use the evenings for assembling cards.

I do hope you like her.....still need lots more practice but loving the journey.

Hi Everyone

Todays card is for a little girl and I have used another Aurora Wings image.

This one is Hydrangea Sprite.  This time I have coloured it with polychromes pencils for a change.

I used a beautiful printed vellum on the base card and attached a piece of lace behind the image. I used a spellbinders die and made some flowers with the card stock and vellum. Also stamped a greeting and used a scalloped punch and added a bow to the corner. I added some fine glitter to her wings and flower centres altho it's hard to see on the photo.

Hi Peeps,

Well managed to get this card finished today.  It's using another image from Aurora Wings and is  called Ruby Slipper.

I have coloured her using Copics and the paper collection is Papermania Signature.  I used a spellbinders corner die, and a lace doily behind the image.

I have added crystal stickles to her belt and pearls and also the slipper.

I have entered her into the March competition on Aurora Wings Facebook page.

It's turned out a little dark on the picture as I took it in artificial light, hope you like it.

Hi Peeps.

Haven't got a card today.....but the other night I was playing along on the Aurora Wings Facebook page and I won one of the challenge!!..Woohoo....very rarely win anything so was sooo excited.

We had to pick an image we'd like to win and I chose Girl with Pansies.

I coloured her up with my Copic markers and here she is.  Am still  practicing so am not totally happy with it but really enjoyed the colouring.  All Mitzi's images are so gorgeous!! Makes you want to really improve especially when you see how everyone interprets them in so many different ways.

Anyway, I hope you like it...must get around to putting all this colouring onto some projects sometime soon!!

Well another quick card today....this is one of my fav magnolia images and I have used it many times.  This card is for a friends retirement.

She is coloured with Copics and one of the background papers is from my minds eye 6 x 6 stack...the other one is paper mania.  I cut the border on my Scan n Cut and the little 'luck' stamp is from Clarity.  The flowers and ribbon and skeleton leaves are from my stash.

Well I've managed to put another card together today.  It's another baby card.  There's something in the air!!!...lots of babies born recently.

Anyway, the image I have used is from  My Besties and is called 'Moonlight Matilda'.....she is sooooo cute!!

I coloured her with copics, and cut out the mats and the words with my Brother Scan 'n Cut.

The papers I had in my stash and the flowers are from WOC.

Today my post is about the colour along at Kit and Clowder.

The beautiful image is Elven Princess from Aurora Wings.

I am in awe of all these beautiful images.  It was a follow along, but I didn't get to do mine until this morning.  I have used my copic markers, although a few of them are different to the ones Alyce used as I didn't have all the same ones...but mostly they are correct.

Anyway, I hope you like my first attempt at this one, I am doing it again as I adore this image and want to do one for my sister, as a gift.

Hi Everyone

Well I promised myself I'd do a post at least once a week.  Todays card is just a really simple one for a new baby in the family.

The cute image is from Pink Gem Designs and I coloured it very simply with my copic markers.

The papers are some I have had in my stash for a while now.  The word Baby I cut out on my brother scan 'n cut, and also the mats.
 As I have embarked on a colouring class and am trying to concentrate on homework etc, I kept this one fairly easy.

I am posting a pic of the blanket and bonnet I crocheted as a gift for the baby.

Am back on my blog after a long absence due to lots of factors, but hopefully I can now get back to at least adding a post a week!!

This card was made using a My Besties digital stamp Cherry Blossom. I have coloured her using my copic markers.  The mats I cut on my Brother Scan 'n Cut machine as I did the word Sweet.  The butterflies are a martha stewart punch and I can't remember where I bought the background papers from.   I hope you like it, as I really enjoyed colouring her and hopefully will improve with  practice!!


The three images above the card I do plan on turning into cards at some stage, but have just enjoyed colouring them and developing my colouring skills, which like I said above, I hope will improve with lots of practice.

The were all coloured using copic markers.   I will start to take note of the colours I use and their numbers so that I am able to  post them in future projects. Just getting back into blogging so will take time to sort it all out.

Hi Everyone,

Well it's been a while again, but I have been able to continue with my crafting, and have just completed a wedding memory album for my daughter.

I followed kathy orta's design 'A Year in Review' for this album.  I used red card stock for the base pages, and the papermania capsule collection to cover them.  The album cover and the box are made from chipboard.    The flowers on the cover are from WOC. I used a dome to cover the photo and edged it with braid.  I decorated the tags inside using the Martha Stewart heart deep edge punch, and kept this theme throughout.  Not a lot of embellishments inside as I didn't want to detract from the photos.

MINI ALBUM AND BOX

Mini Album and Box

Morning everyone,

Well the weather seems to be improving at long last!!
Am finally getting to grips with the new Blogger!!!!.....

I thought I would share with you my latest project.  I've made this chipboard mini album and box for my granddaughter who lives in the States.

I painted the chipboard album pink, before I decided on a box to go with it, and then found it difficult to match  up the pink as i"d mixed it myself....but hey ho, I'm sure she won't mind.....at 8 I think she will just love having her own album and box....lol

Hi Everyone,

Firstly I must apologise once again for my lack of 'blogging' in the past few months.  It's been a roller coaster of a year for me so far.  My son, who is a soldier in the american military, was based in florida, and after major back surgery became poorly and was in intensive care.  We got a call one day and literally flew out there the next.....thankfully he is now on the mend, so hopefully things may calm down for us for a while now.

I am off to the summer crafting show in doncaster this saturday, and am really looking forward to it.

I have been crafting, but havent put anything on here, but did manage to upload a couple of my mini albums to youtube...I will try and upload them here, but have had problems doing it....so fingers crossed it will work. If not I will try and put a link to them. 

I hope this wet weather improves and hope you are all enjoying  your crafting.....

A good luck card

Morning everyone.

Well it’s raining here today, but not freezing, and we are sooooo lucky not to have had snow like most other areas.

My card today is a ‘good luck’ card.  I have used Chinese Tilda, coloured with copics. And added some gold glitter to her kimono.

The backing paper is a chinese design altho not really visible, but have punched the edges with a MS border punch and put gold mirri card at the back altho again, doesn’t really show up on the pic. A piece of handmade paper is behind the image which is on a nestie shape.

The doily is a Cheery Lynn design, sophias heart and the flowers were made with another nestie, the floral doily motifs.  I embossed the top and the bottom with some gold embossing powder.  The sentiment means ‘good luck’ and is a clarity stamp.

The pearls and ribbon are from my stash.

So cold here today

I went for a trip to Frodsham today to the Lady Heyes Craft Centre.  Had a lovely day with a friend of mine.  We bought a few goodies and enjoyed a nice lunch out….made a change, sun was shining but was bitterly cold, but nice to get out and about.

Well I’m still playing ‘catchup’ with my cards.  This is another magnolia image which I’ve coloured with copics using darker skin tones.  I then cut her out and used the doily from 'poppys cabin' as her background.

The papers are from MCS, which I printed out from the pc. Flowers were made using a paper shapers daisy punch.  The ribbon and lace are from a local shop.

The greeting is from LOTV and the pearls are from my stash.

Feeling Better!!

Hi everyone,

Well I’ve been ‘out of action’ for a couple of weeks with a back problem.  So frustrating when you want to do so much and can’t move!!  Anyway, am feeling much better now and happy that I can craft again and can visit all your lovely blogs. I am a little behind with my projects for this month so have some 'catching up' to do.

This card is for my daughters anniversary which is on valentines day.  I have used a magnolia stamp,(she loves these images)... coloured with copics.  The background papers I've had for a while....not sure where from  and I have used my nesties for the mats and and the borders.

Sentiment was done on  the pc and the flowers are from WOC.
