Hope everyone  had a lovely Christmas Day.

I recently bought some faber castell polychromos blendable pencils so I thought I would give them a try this morning.

My image is from "My Besties"

Not turned it into a card as yet, as I think I will colour up a few images at a time in future, before adding them to cards.  Maybe it will be my New Years resolution, as sometimes it can take me a while to decide on how to make the card up....but if I colour up several images at a time...maybe it won't be so hard to decide on the structure of the card.  Anyway, think I will give it a go and see how I get on.

Hope you like her....have a crafty sunday!

Hi Everyone,

Can't believe that I won the "My Besties Christmas Hop'.  Wow wow wow!!!  Such super prizes, but truthfully it's more the winning as I seldom win anything!!...lol

Anyway, a big Thank You to   them all over at My Besties.  Now I have to find the time to colour them all up!  It's such a busy time for the next couple of weeks, so there may not be lots of cards posted as most of mine are already in the post on their way!

The one I'm sharing today is just a simple one but  I love this image, and have a friend who loves poinsettias so this was made with her in mind.

I took the inspiration for this card from Sandy Allnock, who in my opinion, is an incredible colourist.  I used the hero arts stamp 'poinsettias',  stamped it a few times but only coloured one of the flowers to give a dimensional look.

I used my copics, and some background paper for the mats, some flat backed pearls, a small piece of ribbon and with a simple greeting that was it!

I do hope you like it!

Hi,

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  My card for today is using the digital stamp Marci with fan from Lalaland crafts.

I coloured her hair and skin in copics but decided to paper piece her outfit.  The lattice frame behind her is a spellbinders die, as is the oval she is stamped on. I made some flowers from the same papers I used for her clothes.  (not sure where from as had them for ages and forget!!)

The butterfly is a martha stewart punch.  The chinese symbol means 'luck' and is from clarity stamps.

I used some lace trim and a doily from my stash.

Copics used are

Have a great weekend.

Happy Wednesday!

Well todays card is using Christmas Marci with Lantern again from Lalaland Crafts.

I have to say that these images are super to colour.  i have used copics on this one and used more vintage colours.  She is on a spellbinders die cut and the borders were made using an EK success border punch. I coloured the background with the same colour copics used on the image.

The papers are once again the 'twelve days of christmas'. I added a doily which I distressed with vintage photo.

I made the little envelope with a punch, and inside is a silvery flower that reminded me of a snowflake so thought I'd use it. I added some glossy accents to the bow on her hat and the lantern.

Some flat backed pearls and a greeting finishes it off.

Hope you like it!

Good Morning!!

My card today is using a digi stamp from lalaland crafts and is Christmas Marci with lantern.

I have once again, coloured her using pro markers.  The frame is a spellbinders die and the labels are from a sizzix die.  Christmas papers are 12 days of Christmas from Dovecraft .  I added a little tulle to the back of the punched flower and used some twine to make the bow.

I love this image, and really enjoyed colouring her up.

Hope you like.

Have a crafty weekend!!!

Good Morning,

Today I haven't completed a card, but have finished colouring an image that I love.  It's one from Aurora Wings

She is Marie Antoinette.  I love all of mitzi's images and have collected quite a few now, all I need is the time to colour them up!  I am still practicing, and love both copics and pro markers...but decided to do this one using pro markers,  for a change.

I haven't added anything else yet as I think I   may just make a frame for this one for my sister's birthday coming up in January. The only extra was a touch of 'wink of stella' to the beading around the hair and the bracelet, but it's not showing up very well on the photo.

Anyway, hope you like.

I   think I will enter this into the 'Anything goes'  challenge over at Aurora Wings blog

Have a Crafty Day!!

Hi Everyone,

Today's card is  the same image I used yesterday, have just used a different colour scheme, as I absolutely love this cute image. Decided to go  with blue's and purples for a change. Again I used glossy accents on the bell and this time I used glitter for the white band of his hat.

I cut out a couple of big snowflakes on my cricut explore and made some banners for the words.  Kept it quite simple as it's for little ones.

Coloured again in pro markers.

Hope you like it.

Morning Peeps,

My card for today  is a freebie image from AliciaBel and is a christmas elf.  Once again on this card, I have used my pro markers.  As I have both pro markers and copics, I thought it was time to have a change.  I also would like to try and image using my polychromos pencils soon.

The backing paper is  some I've had for sometime.  I am making a conscious effort to use up paper i already have rather than buying more.....lol...famous last words!!

I had to use a corner punch on the image as I got a smudge on one corner...so....all four corners had to be snipped!!

I put some glossy accents onto the bell to highlight it.  Simple punched flowers, some christmas ribbon  and a stamped greeting finish it off.

Hope you like it.
Am adding it in the november challenge over at AliciaBel

Have a crafty day!!

Hi Everyone.

Today's card is another xmas card, as I still have a fair few to make.  This one is using an image from Whimsy Stamps...'Santa Mouse'.  This time  I have coloured it using pro markers.  It doesn't show  up to well on the photo, but I have used glossy accents on the holly berries and on his nose. The image is mounted on a spellbinders die cut and have used ribbon and pearls from my stash.

The greeting is also stamped on a spellbinders die cut, and the backing paper is yet again from the '12 days of Christmas' dove craft collection.

I am also entering this into the Kit and Clowder  monthly challenge.

Have a super craft filled  Monday!!

Hi bloggers,

My card for today is using a freebie image from Ppinky dolls.  She is little ' Cloud Lily'.

I have  made an 8 x 8 scalloped card, and have coloured the image using copic markers.  I also added some glimmer mist to her wings and to the cloud....altho not showing up too well on the picture..The tag she is on is a sizzix die and the papers are from the dove craft '12 days of christmas' collection.
I used a spellbinders cutting die for the background lattice and another smaller spellbinders tag die for the greeting. The greeting is from Lavinia stamps.
The flowers and ribbon and little pearls are from my stash.

Hope you have a super crafty day!!

Hello Peeps,

Well, I thought I would share another project with you....this is something I made as a keepsake for my daughter in law.  It's a handbag mini album.

The pattern is another creation from  Kathy Orta.  I used the paper mania capsule collection for the pages and to cover the chipboard.    I decided to add chains and beads for the handles which I put together from my stash.  The spine of the book and the flap of the bag are covered with a textured paper that gives a leather look.  The photo mats inside the album are made from card stock and have added some sentiment stickers that I have collected over time...so not all from the same place...but think they all work together nicely on this project.

It's a nice keepsake and I love making these albums as they all turn out different.

I hope you like it!!
Happy crafting!

Hi Everyone,

I always seem to be apologising for my absences from blogging....but again it has been health related but hopefully I can once again get on top of my posting!!..Fingers crossed.

Well I haven't been idle....my son was married at the beginning of september and I decided to have a go at making a few things for the wedding.

I had always wanted to try ribbon roses, and ended up making the bridal bouquet!!..what an honour for me. I had never done them before, so it was a challenge, but I really enjoyed making them.  I used satin ribbon and decorated them with pearls.........also I made the bridesmaid corsages and one for the mother of the bride and of course myself...as well as the groom's buttonhole.

I also made them their wedding post box and guest book...pictures below.

I will post a pic of the happy couple too.

Wedding Post Box
Made from card stock, covered and decorated with some handmade silk roses to match the bridal bouquet and trimmed with pearl string and lace.

Wedding Guest Book

Made using papers from the Mimosa paper collection. Cut out the hearts with a Martha Stewart punch and added a frame for the title.

I added their pic to the front page.

The Happy Couple

I love this photo

Bridal bouquet, made with ivory and pink silk ribbon and pearls added to the centre and down the handle.  Finished with pink ribbon bows.

Bridesmaid Corsage

Buttonhole

I really enjoyed making all the flowers and extras, and hope you like them.
Have a super crafty week.

OH Wow!!

Hi everyone,
Have just learnt that one of my cards made using the beautiful creations of Mitzi Sato Wiuff has been featured on her new Showcase Blog.  I am so excited!!  Her artwork is incredible and is so inspirational to anyone who enjoys colouring.  So, in the unlikely event that you are not familiar with her work, then I suggest you click on the above links and check out her designs.

I have been away from blogging and the computer in general for a few weeks now....haven't been too good with my hands....(arthritis), and had to have injections for it...plus, had my sister visiting from yorkshire for a couple of weeks.  Have also been working on an album for my future daughter in law, for her hen night, and now I am up to my eyes in ribbon as I am making all the wedding flowers!!!....so...have my work cut out...altho loving it!!...Never made ribbon roses before but am enjoying doing them all.  Hope to have pictures up very soon of how they are coming along thus far.

Hope you all have a super crafty week!!!
take care
